About The Logo
Designed by versatile artist, Rahul Majumdar, who has the unique distinction of working with the legendary film director Satyajit Ray as well as his son, Sandip Ray, a distinguished film-maker, the logo depicts the human eye with cryo EM ( short form of cryogenic electron microscopy) as the eyeball. Ipsita devoted the best part of her life on research in this field.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide funds for the education of children, girls, and boys, especially of lesser privileged sections of society. Funds will be given according to needs. These may be given either to individuals or organizations. They may directly contact the Foundation by e-mail (preferred mode) or call or write. The amount will be decided by the board of trustees. Our Vision
We envisage a holistic approach to education, where all people, irrespective of caste, creed, color, or sex, are involved. For us, education is simply and aptly defined by the quotes of Swami Vivekananda and Albert Einstein given on the home page. This Foundation will strive its best to live up to those expectations and, hopefully, succeed. Despite our modest beginnings we aspire to connect with the maximum cross-section of people. Get To Know Us
The Ipsita Banerjee Educational Foundation was set up in honor of the lady whose name this foundation bears. It was registered on the thirtieth of May 2023 and soon after, began its operations. Ipsita was a brilliant structural biologist who was deeply involved in her research of saving human lives (For more details regarding her research, click here). Profoundly influenced by Swami Vivekananda’s ideas and ideals, she balanced her research with philanthropic activities, donating handsomely to various such organizations, especially UNESCO and UNICEF, and helping persons of war-ravaged countries. The primary corpus fund for this foundation was obtained from Ipsita’s fellowship that she had saved during her stay in Sweden as a Ph.D. candidate. Persons desirous of donating funds may click here.
